It'd been another exhausting day of cleaning up after guests at the Inn and Cordelia could feel a headache, due to caffeine withdrawal, coming on. She mused about her current situation while strolling through town in search of an appropriate place to unwind with a cup of coffee and perhaps do a little people watching. Once a popular young woman who enjoyed spending her nights at the trendiest clubs, she was now adjusting to a whole new life - void of the people, places and things she'd held so dear in the past. Of course there was always that black cloud hanging over her head: out of her time and supposedly dead in reality. This still boggled her mind and caused her to wonder what the hell was going on in this town. While the people seemed real (and some even familiar) it would appear that something supernatural was at work. Could this be another dimension or a dream she'd wake up from at any minute?
There was a sigh before she shook her head, not in the mood for deep thoughts while peering through each shop's window. Her steps came to a halt after spotting tasty looking pastries behind the glass of an establishment that also appeared to serve caffeinated beverages. A slight smile crossed her features before she pushed open the door and made her way inside. Sure, it wasn't Starbucks, but who was she kidding - like she could afford high end coffee these days anyway.
After placing an order for coffee (light and sweet) and a chocolate chip muffin, she glanced around the room while waiting. Her gaze fell on a brunette who'd just entered the shop and seemed vaguely familiar. She winced slightly at the realization that the other woman had stayed at the Inn. Fine, she wasn't quite over the embarrassment of her current line of work. Sure, everyone at the Inn was great and she was grateful for the job, but being employed as a maid was a major hit to her ego. As the woman approached the counter, Cordelia put on her best smile although unsure that she'd be recognized as well.
